Declan McBride won the Jingle Bells 5k in Glenties today.

McBride led home the field in 18 minutes and 8 seconds.

Martin Cunningham was in second (18:13.0) with Cathal O’Donnell in third (18:54.0).

Tir Chonaill AC’s Margaret Sweeney was the leading female, finishing in 22:31.0 and 22^nd overall.

From St Johnston and now based in Letterkenny, Chris was a nominee for NUJ Sports Journalist of the Year in 2010. Honoured by the Donegal Boxing Board in 2016 for his coverage on the sport.
