Darryl Moran loses out in Elite international in Poland

Darryl Moran lost out to Jakub Słomiński in Kielce, Poland last night in an Elite international.

The Illies Golden Gloves man lost on points in the first bout on the 10-fight card.

Poland took victory by six bouts to four.

Irish captain Dean Walsh, Gerard Matthews, Michael Nevin and Martin Keenan won their fights.

Light-flyweight Moran, a nine-time Irish champion, was beaten by the slick Słomiński.

75kg John Joyce (St Michael’s Athy) lost to Bartosz Gołębiewski (Poland) Pts

75kg Michael Nevin (Portlaoise) beat Daniel Adamiec (Poland) Pts

81kg Tony Brown (St Michael’s,Dublin) lost to Arkadiusz Szwedowicz (Poland) pts

91kg+ Martin Keenan (Rathkeale) beat Aleksander Stawirej (Poland) KO2
