DARRYL MORAN takes to the canvas tonight as Donegal’s only representative in the Irish Under-22 finals.
The Illies Golden Gloves man takes on Jordan Leahy from Urlingford in the light-flyweight final at The National Stadium.
Moran is an eight-time Irish champion who will be aiming to add to his collection and reach for title number nine tonight by scooping what could be a 38th National crown for the Illies club.
Moran is the only Donegal man to have reached the finals night.
Two Donegal women have won titles via walkover wins: Jackie Gillespie taking the Irish Novice 50kgs crown and Maeve McCarron claiming the Under-22 81+kgs title.
