DARACH O’CONNOR MADE his first appearance of 2016 for Buncrana yesterday following his cruciate injury.

O’Connor, who started the 2014 All-Ireland final for Donegal against Kerry, suffered the injury last September and went under the knife at  Santry Sports Clinic in Dublin a month later.

Yesterday, he was a second half substitute for Buncrana at the Scarvey in their 0-7 to 0-6 win over neighbours Burt in the AllSportStore.com All-County Football League Division 3 clash.

The return of ‘Jigger’ whose father John played for Roscommon against Kerry in the 1980 All-Ireland final will be a boost to Donegal manager Rory Gallagher, whose side take on Fermanagh in Ballybofey in the Ulster SFC quarter-final on Sunday, June 12.
