DAMIEN DUDDY DEFEATED fancied Belfast man Garrett Smylie on Saturday night.

The St Johnston kickboxer was in his first bout since making the move to Mayhem Martial Arts.

Duddy won the ISKA Irish Amateur 60kgs title last summer when he overcame Matty Ryan and moved up to 67kgs for the weekend’s clash with Smylie.

‘Kid Dynamite’ Duddy won all three rounds for a 30-27 points win over Smylie, from the Langka Muaythai in Belfast.

Smylie is rated as one of the best muaythai prospects to emerge in Northern Ireland and hadn’t lost a round until Saturday night when Deele College student Duddy took his latest big scalp.
