Cranford AC notes – Success at Tommy McBride juvenile races

Last Saturday evening saw the Tommy McBride juvenile races take place.

The Under-9 girls race was won by Karen Neely of Cranford AC. In the Under-9 boys race saw another Cranford runner coming home in first place with Caolan McFadden winning the race closely followed by Lois Murray from St Peters AC in Lurgan in second place and Shaun Rooney from Dublin in third place.

Medal winners from the Under-9 race with Noel McBride

In the Under-11 girls Sarah Rooney from Dublin won the race with Nazara McFadden from Cranford AC in second place and Grace Rooney from Dublin in 3rd. Caoimhe Neely, Clodagh Neely and Orla Neely also ran a good race.  The Under-11 boys race was won by Conor Neely of CranfordAC.

In the Under-13 girls Hannah Rooney from Dublin won the race with Aoife Giles from Cranford AC in second and Anna Murray from St Peters AC in Lurgan in third place. In the Under-13 boys Cranfords Allan Neely came first and Johnny Trearty second.

Molly Trearty of Cranford AC won the Under-15 girls and Eoghan Murray from Lurgan won the Under-15 boys race.

Well done to Conal McCambridge from North Belfast Harriers who won the Tommy McBride Memorial Cup today and to his mum Ita McCambridge who was the first senior woman pictured here with Noel McBride and Myles Gallagher
