The Donegal SHC final between St Eunan’s and Setanta has been put back a week with the Donegal Competitions Controls Committee (CCC) tonight confirming the schedule of club championship fixtures for next weekend.

The senior hurling final had been pencilled in for next Saturday, but St Eunan’s last night upset the odds with a super win over defending champions MacCumhaills to reach a first final in 15 years.

Niall O’Donnell, Conor Parke and Sean McVeigh are among the dual players at St Eunan’s and the CCC have decided to put the hurling final back a week with St Eunan’s footballers meeting Gaoth Dobhair next Sunday in a SFC quarter-final.

St Eunan’s and Gaoth Dobhair (4pm) are the second in a double header at MacCumhaill Park with Kilcar taking on Bundoran at 2pm.

St Michael’s face Burt at 4.30pm next Saturday in the first of the SFC quarter-finals.

Killybegs and Naomh Conaill cross swords on Saturday evening at 7.30pm at a venue to be decided with the floodlit MacCumhaill Park and Pearse Memorial Park, Ardara the possibilities.
