THE DONEGAL COUNTY BOARD has confirmed details for a bumper weekend of Football Championship action.

Admission prices for the two RTE Raidio na Gaeltachta Senior Football Championship semi-finals have been reduced to €10, with both fixtures having important curtain raisers to set the tone at Sean MacCumhaill Park (pictured above).

On Saturday evening at 5.45pm, Milford and Aodh Ruadh will meet in an Intermediate Football Championship quarter-final replay with the winners joining Naomh Colmcille, Gaeil Fhánada and Bundoran in the semi-finals.

The feature match on Saturday is the senior semi-final meeting of St Eunan’s, the defending champions, and St Michael’s at 7.30pm in a repeat of semis in 2006 and 2014, both of which were won by St Eunan’s.

On Sunday, Kilcar and Naomh Conaill clash in the second semi-final at 3.30pm.

That game will be preceded by the Mount Errigal Hotel Junior A Football Championship final at 1pm, when Red Hughs and Naomh Ultan go for the silverware.

Admission for the double headers in Ballybofey is €10 with OAP and student admission available for €5 with valid ID.

The County Board have also confirmed its referees for the weekend’s games.

Andrew Mullin of Killybegs will be the man in the middle for the St Eunan’s v St Michael’s game with Seamus McGonagle of Aodh Ruadh having the whistle for the Kilcar v Naomh Conaill fixture.

Sean Paul Doherty from Urris has been rewarded by being appointed to referee Sunday’s Junior A final while Naomh Conaill clubman Connie Doherty has been handed the task of looking after the Aodh Ruadh v Milford replay.

Tir Chonaill Park in Donegal town hosts a double header of Senior Football Championship relegation play-offs on Saturday afternoon.

Killybegs and Sean MacCumhaills cross swords at 2pm, under the charge of Robbie O’Donnell, while Jimmy White will referee the relegation play-off replay between Cloughaneely and Ardara at 3.30pm.

The Intermediate Championship relegation play-off between Urris and Burt takes place at The Scarvey in Buncrana on Friday night at 8.30pm with Patrick McKeever the referee.

The Intermediate final takes place on October 11 with the Senior decider a week later on October 18.
