THE DONEGAL County Board has confirmed the recipients of Scholarship awards for the Gaeltacht this summer.

The list below shows the successful applicants whose names were drawn for the Comhaltas Uladh Scholarships of which there were 8 (eight) each one to the value of €200.00.

The GAA in Donegal enjoys a close working relationship with Comhaltas Uladh (the Ulster branch of Conradh na Gaeilge) and every St. Patrick’s Day, many of the GAA clubs carry out the church gate collections.

All money collected comes back in to the county through the students who attend the three Comhaltas Uladh Irish language colleges in Teileann, Loch an Iuir and Rann na Feirste.

This year Donegal were awarded eight scholarships to the value of €200 each (Total €1,600) and these were added to the six Gaeltacht Scholarships which CLG Dhún na nGall provide each year for our young members.
