Colhoun, Kelly to lead Malin’s charge again in 2017

TERENCE COLHOUN and Anthony Kelly have been handed charge of the Malin senior football team again for 2017.

The appointment was confirmed at the recent club AGM.

Colhoun and Kelly took over for 2016 following the disappointing term of Liam Bradley, the former Antrim manager, the previous year.

2016 certainly was a year of positives for Malin, who reached the semi-finals of the Donegal SFC.

The Inishowen men pushed eventual county champions Glenswilly all the way, but Glenswilly had a little bit more nous about them when it came to the crunch.

Malin beat Dungloe in a quarter-final after coming through a group involving Sean MacCumhaills, Naomh Muire and Glenfin.

Malin finished just two points off the promotion spots in Division 2 of the All-County Football League too.

Promising Malin youngster Christy Fildara has been called into the Donegal senior panel and played in a challenge game against Sligo last Sunday in Letterkenny.
