COLAISTI Inis Eoghain staged a second-half rally but came up just short in the Sciath na nOg final today.

Colaisti Inis Eoghain 1-5 St Joseph’s Donaghmore 1-7

The Inishowen scholars were ten points down at half-time, but a strong come back wasn’t enough in the second period at Killyclogher.

Colaisti Inis Eoghain were scoreless in the first half while St Joseph’s didn’t trouble the scoreboard in part twp.

A goal on 19 minutes had St Joseph’s 1-4 to no score in front. That margin was extended before the break, when St Joseph’s led 1-7 to 0-0.

Within six minutes of the restart, Colaisti Inis Eoghain had hit back. Kevin Lynch hit two points and Conor Graham rattled the Donaghmore net.

Under stern pressure from Colaisti Inis Eoghain, Donaghmore held on for the win.

Colaisti Inis Eoghain scorers: Conor Graham 1-0, Kevin Lynch 0-2, Oisin McIntyre, Darragh Douglas, Shane Gallagher 0-1 each
