The Donegal LGFA annual golf classic took place in Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club on Friday.

Despite the very wet conditions the day was a huge success thanks in no small part to all the brave competitors who took to the twin towns fairways.

The nearest the pin prize was a much sought after 56 degree wedge donated by Pádraig Harrington.

Pádraig actually played with this club on tour last year before signing and donating it to the Donegal Ladies. This prize was won on the 17th green by Donegal county hurler Cairan Matthewson who got in to 11′ 1″ of the pin.

The Donegal Ladies would like to thank Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club for their hospitality and help organising this event your management, staff and members made us feel very welcome.

Thanks to everyone who took part on the day.
