CHLOE MAGEE returns to her roots this evening; back to where it all began, at the Raphoe Badminton Club.

Magee will take part in an exhibition evening at the club to mark the start of Badminton Week, while also doubling as a welcome home event for the now three-time Olympian.

Magee became the first Donegal sportsperson to compete at three Olympics last month when she took to the court in Rio.

The Raphoe woman was handed the draw from hell and defeats by Karin Schnaase and Wang Yihan saw her exit at the group stage.

Magee, the Irish number 1, will be joined in Raphoe this evening by her brothers Sam and Joshua Magee; her niece Rachael Darragh; and top Irish players Sarah Boyle, Paul Reynolds and Nhat Nyguen.

They are all players from the Irish High Performance team and will play in exhibition matches before what is expected to be a big crowd as Donegal gets a chance to pay tribute to its only three-time Olympian.
