Carndonagh’s McCloskey books final place at National Girls Championships

Shania McCloskey from Carndonagh booked her place in the Girl 3 51kgs final at the National Girls Championships.

Last night, the Carndonagh ABC woman defeated Shelby Myers from Crumlin 3-2 in the semi-final.

Now, McCloskey will face Saorse Roche from Legacy in the final on May 20^th.

Her Carndonagh clubmate Jessica Clarke is already through to a final. Clarke will meet Caitlin Fryers of Immaculata in the Junior 2 final at 50kgs.

Next week, two other Donegal fighters begin their Championship bids. On Friday, Dunfanaghy’s Ciara Craig faces Sionna McKenna from Holy Family in the Junior 2 52kgs class while Chloe McDaid from Illies will be against Molly Kearns (St Anthony’s/Pat’s) at Girl 4 53kgs.
