POINTS LATE IN THE day by Christy Keaney and Michael McEniff secured a win for Bundoran in an entertaining joust with Termon at the Burn Road today.

Termon 3-6 Bundoran 0-17

Both teams were short ley players. Bundoran traveled without the injured James Keaney and Pauric Rooney while Niall Dunne and Paul Rooney are on vacation in Jamaica.

Termon were without Austin Marron whose forthcoming nuptials kept him otherwise engaged, but experienced netminder Michael Boyle made a return to the Burn Road after suffering a serious injury some months ago

Termon got off to the perfect start when Fiontán O’Flynn fed Daire McDaid for a goal in the opening minutes.

Termon played a defensive game and only had one other point before the break.

Bundoran scored 0-12 in the opening half, Cristy Keaney and Jamie Brennan being the chief providers.

Matters took a dramatic twist after the  commencement of the second half when Daire McDaid and Caolan McDaid both raised green flags for Termon.

Better was to come as Daire Mc Daid had two  further points before McEniff landed a Bundoran point. While  Termon equalised, Diarmuid McCaughey put Bundoran one up, only for Daire McDaid to level again.

In injury time Bundoran added points from Keaney and McEniff to claim the bragging rights and send Termon ever so close to the low water mark in Division 1.
