The Christmas Hamper took place last weekend and with the terrible weather conditions on Saturday it was no surprise the winner came from the Sunday players.
The best score of the weekend was 41 pts returned by Kevin Mc Colgan and Kevin Murphy.
However, thanks to a superior back 9, Kevin Mc Colgan managed to secure the first prize and finish a great year’s golf for him where his handicap has come down from 24 to 16 a reduction of 8 shots. Kevin Murphy who finished second shot a very impressive one over 67 gross now sees himself playing of his lowest handicap mark of 5 and is playing some tremendous golf at present.
The full results of the Christmas hamper are as follows; 1st Kevin Mc Colgan (18) 41 pts b.o.t., 2nd Kevin Murphy (6) 41 pts, Gross Pauric O’ Flaherty (3) 71 gross, 3rd Caolan Mc Laughlin (15) 39 pts, Best day (Sat) Paul McDaid (12) 33 pts and Back Jonny Morrison (10) 19 pts b.o.t. The non-qualifiers was won by Ciaran Mc Laughlin (11) 39 pts and in second place was Martin Mc Laughlin (20) 35 pts.

The “Find the Joker” is up and running again with a Jackpot of €975.00, lines only cost €2 each and this draw is open to members and non-members alike. Lines can be purchased in the clubhouse or through chief seller Oliver Doherty.
