The competition last weekend was an Open Stableford sponsored by the Cottage Bar Buncrana and with the cold windy conditions over the two days scoring was never going to be easy.

However, the evergreen and ever consistent Joe Mc Cauley managed to master the conditions to shoot 37 pts and take the first prize on a break of a tie from another ever consistent player Paul Eccles.

By virtue of winning and finishing second, both Joe and Paul have secured their places into the ever popular Cottage Bar Outing which will take place in Strabane Golf Club on Sunday 5th May.

Full Results of the Cottage Bar Open Stableford are as follows; 1st Joe Mc Cauley (15) 37 pts b.o.t., 2nd Paul Eccles (16) 37 pts, Gross Stephen Mc Hugh (3) 72 gross, 3rd Patrick Fletcher (19) 35 pts b.o.t. Best Day Liam Lynch Jnr (19) 33 pts b.o.t. and Back 9 Brian Bradley (13) 18 pts b.o.t.
