Calvin Bradley top scored as Red Hughs overcame Con Magees in today’s Ulster Junior Club quarter-final in Portglenone.

Red Hughs 3-8 Con Magees 0-8

A brace of goals from Bradley steered Red Hughs to victory and set up a semi-final berth.

Bradley netted a penalty in the 16th minute of the game to put the Donegal champions on their way.

Bradley’s penalty had Red Hughs five up and Bradley’s treble of points helped them to lead by six points at the midway stage.

The Antrim side were back to within three again as Red Hughs went over 20 minutes without a scoring.

Bradley bagged another goal late in the game and Colm Melaugh also found the net as Seosamh Mac Ceallabhuí’s men move onto a semi-final meeting with Emyvale from Monaghan.

Last year, Donegal junior champions Naomh Colmcille went on to win Ulster and Red Hughs will look to keep the silverware in Donegal.

Red Hughs: Ciaran Kelly; Cathal Doherty, Sean Sweeney, Shane McGlinchey; Gary Kelly, Stephen McMenamin, Ryan Kelly; Thomas McMenamin, Damien Browne (0-1); Pauric McMenamin, Gerard Melaugh, Peadar McGlinchey; Colm Melaugh (0-1), James Carlin, Calvin Bradley (2-3). Subs: Jonny Carlin (0-1) for S Sweeney, Colm Melaugh (0-1) for J Carlin, Eugene Browne for D Browne, Michael Devine for G.Melaugh, PJ Gallagher for S McMenamin.
