DECLAN BOYLE got back to winning ways today ALMC Stages Rally in Trim.
The WRC Fiesta of Boyle, with his cousin Brian on the notes, was 43.4 seconds ahead of the Fiesta of Roy White.
The Boyles were quickest on six of the nine stages and had a commanding lead by the conclusion of the day’s rallying.
It came after a third place finish in the Lurgan Park Rally yesterday and just two weeks after their 2016 Joule Donegal International Rally turned sour.
They had almost a two minute lead on the Saturday evening, but a problem with the gear linkage on the final stage of day two, Gartan, ended their event.
The Fiesta has been beset by mechanical trouble this year, but the Boyles will be delighted to score the win today.
White was second with Peadar Hurson in third.
