WITH the exception of Michael Murphy, Donegal manager Declan Bonner expects a full turnout at training tonight.
Twelve days out from an Ulster quarter-final against Derry, Donegal hope to see Odhrán Mac Niallais, Oisin Gallen and Daire Ó Baoill participate in tonight’s session.
Murphy was withdrawn after 29 minutes of Sunday’s facile win over Down in Newry. The Donegal captain nursed an ice pack on his left hamstring as his side ran out 2-25 to 1-12 winners.
Mac Niallais, Gallen and Ó Baoill were absent from the squad on Sunday.
“We’d hope to have them all back on the pitch on Tuesday night,” Bonner said. “Competition for places is exactly what we need.
“It’s a different championship and there are only a couple of weeks for recovery. We just finished the National League two weeks ago against Dublin so the games are coming thick and fast. Injuries don’t get much of a chance. Before this, you might have had four weeks.”
Murphy offered a hopeful diagnosis of his injury, remarking that it was ‘just a wee bot of tightening up’.
Bonner added: “We got him out at the right time. He should be okay. We’re quite hopeful that Michael will be fine.”
