IN-FORM Amber Barrett is included in the Republic of Ireland squad for next month’s European Championship qualifier against Germany.

Barrett, who had hit four goals for FC Koln so far this season, is in the 31-player squad named by manager Vera Pauw for the final Group I game.

Ireland host Germany at Tallagh on December 1.

The Girls in Green are still in the hunt for a Qualifying Play-Off for the 2022 UEFA Women’s European Championships as they get ready to face the might of Germany, the Group I winners.

Ireland will host Germany while Ukraine play Montenegro. Pauw’s team currently hold a better goal difference so they need to equal or better Ukraine’s result in order to seal second spot.

Barrett was a late replacement in Ireland’s recent 1-0 loss to Ukraine at the Obolon Arena.

The players will report into camp on Sunday, November 22nd when the squad will be cut back ahead of the first training session at the FAI National Training Centre.

While Barrett is among those listed, there remains no place for St Johnston’s Tyler Toland, who has begun to catch the eye again with her new club Glasgow Celtic, who she has joined on a season-long loan from Mancheter City.
