It’s a double for Ballybofey & Stranorlar this week having won the final of the North West League (handicaps 19 and upward) and also the Maire O’Donnell four-ball, better-ball competition.
For the fourth year in succession (full handicap range).   So congratulations to both teams. Sylvia Allen Hamilton  played for and captained the League team.  The final was played in Redcastle against the North West, Lisfannon, Buncrana  on Friday the 18th September.  Â
It has been many years since B & S won this title so well done ladies. The team on the day were Josephine Stewart Kaye Stewart Maureen Boyle Lady Capt Breid Kelly and Sylvia Allen Hamilton.

Club Matchplay Competitions are now drawing to their final stages and the Competition Secretary has requested that they be played as soon as possible please.

Volunteers Requested: It is coming to that time of the year that volunteers are asked to put their names on the club notice board to sweep the dew off the greens at weekends. this work is much appreciated by all the members and if you can put your name down you can be doing a great service to your club and your fellow members.

CSS = 37pts. Saturday 19th September was the big Red Hugh’s CLG Classic which was very well supported, unfortunately I do not have the results to hand, however if someone from Red Hugh’s would email them to me at bandsgolfclub@hotmail.com I will include them in next week’s notes.

Cat 3; Karl McCafferty (18) – 41pts. (Explanation Note) Cat 1 H/cap is from 0 – 10, Cat 2 H/cap is from 11 – 17, and Cat 3 H/cap is from 18 – 28. CSS = 38pts.
