TERESA DOHERTY won a record eighth Donegal Senior Cross Country title on Sunday.
The Kinlough woman, the former Teresa McGloin, came home in a time of 20:12.
Since 2007, Doherty has won every one bar 2008 and the Finn Valley AC woman was comfortable in victory on Sunday.
“It’s nice to get it,” she told Donegal Sport Hub.
“It was fine. I was tired this week, but conditions were perfect. I just went out for a hard run.”
In winning, she overtakes Danny McDaid’s record of seven titles.
