ORCHARD MANAGER SEAN O’DONNELL says his side will keep battling for the honours in the Old Orchard Saturday Division.

A dramatic equaliser, five minutes into added time, by Joe McCarron, rescued a point for Orchard on Saturday against leaders Arranmore.

Gavin McGlanaghey twice put Arranmore in front but Micheál Doherty and McCarron levelled each time to keep Orchard’s hopes alive.

“I’m very glad we got out with the point,” said O’Donnell, whose team trail Arranmore by two points with a game more played.

“We did enough to win that game. We had some amount of chances and on another day we could have taken all three points.

“The heads never dropped and the boys are eager to do their best. They fight right to the end and we’ll battle on.

“This keeps it interesting. We have good battling spirit in that dressing room.”
