SEAMUS Mac Geidigh, RTE Raidio na Gaeltachta Regional Manager, can’t pick a winner of the Donegal SFC.

RTE Raidio na Gaeltachta are again the title sponsors of this year’s Championship and Mac Geidigh, who is the station’s main Gaelic Games commentator in Donegal, believes that there are plenty of potential destinations for Dr Maguire.

“Anything can happen in the Championship,” he told Donegal Sport Hub.

“It should be an enjoyable Championship. It’s the pinnacle of football in the county. For some of them, the Championship is the ultimate prize that they can win in football.”

He was in no doubt what the tie of the round for next week’s quarter-finals was. He said: “People have been saying all week that there was the possibility that St Eunan’s and Glenswilly would meet.

“It’ll be a mouthwatering tie. You’re going to get one of the big teams gone in the quarter-finals, which is a pity. It’s the draw that neither team wanted, but it’ll be a huge tie.”
