Audio: Packie Mailey and Ciaran Coll – ‘Hard work always gets what it deserves’

PACKIE MAILEY endured a frustrating season but, as they say, all’s well that ends well.

The Convoy native (pictured above with Charlie Collins by Stephen Doherty) has consolidated his place back in the Finn Harps first team after a few niggling injuries stalled his comeback from knee surgery late last year.

“Ollie had it instill in us if you work hard then you get your rewards,” he said last night following the Ballybofey club’s promotion. “Last year we made positive steps going forward. The boys have been brilliant this year. We’re back where we belong.”

Ciaran Coll added: “The crowd were like a twelfth man. It proved that there’s a crowd out there to support a team in the Premier Division.”
