IT’S BEEN ANOTHER memorable year for the members of the Letterkenny Golf Club.
The outgoing President, Anne Condon, and the outgoing Captain, Gerard Duffy, sat down recently with Donegal Sport Hub to reflect on 2015, a year in which the club received a ‘Hidden Gem’ award from Golfer’s Guide and also picking up an accolade from the Tidy Towns’ Committee.
“It’s been a great year and a great privilege,” Duffy, from nearby Ramelton, said.
“Being the Captain was a huge honour and it was something that my father, in particular, was very proud of.”
Anne Condon made history in 2015, as the first female President.
She said: “I got through the year, I really enjoyed it and I was really honoured.”
