OLLIE HORGAN couldn’t hide his disappointment at how things panned out for his team at Ferrycarrig Park tonight.
Two first half goals from Danny Furlong sent Wexford Youths back to the top of the SSE Airtricity League First Division at Harps’ expense in the south-east. The result, following a 0-0 draw last week against Athlone Town and a 1-0 reversal at UCD the week before, means Harps have only picked up one point from nine.
“It was probably our poorest performance all year in supposedly such a big game,” Horgan told Chris McNulty afterwards. “It’s not so much the fact we didn’t prepare because we most certainly did. We under-performed and that’s the worrying thing.”
