Audio: Ollie Horgan relieved as Finn Harps ‘hang on’ for win over Cockhill

OLLIE HORGAN admitted that his Finn Harps side were ‘hanging on’ for their EA Sports Cup win over Cockhill Celtic.

Ethan Boyle hit the only goal of the game in the 23rd minute of a tepid contest at Finn Park.

It was only in the late moments of the game, when Cockhill laid siege on the Harps goal in search of an equaliser, that the night threatened to come to life, but Harps came away unscathed.

“We were hanging on quite a bit at the end. We didn’t play well,” Horgan told Donegal Sport Hub.

“We scraped through that with a lot of luck and I’m sure Cockhill will feel hard done by.

“In the five minutes of injury time they had three chances alone. There weren’t too many chances in the game up until that. We got through it and that’s about the only positive.”
