IT WAS an emotional Neil Toye who guided Naomh Padraig, Iskaheen to the Donegal Under-14 Division Two title on Wednesday evening in Letterkenny.

The Muff outfit won a low-scoring affair against Gaeil Fhánada 0-5 to 0-3 to avenge their Northern Board final defeat at the hands of the same opponents two weeks ago.

“They’re a great spirited team,” Toye told Donegal Sport Hub.

“We felt the last day that we short-changed ourselves. We had a man sent off after 17 minutes, we were eight down and we just lost by three.

“This is just brilliant. I’m ecstatic to win the county title with these boys

“They just don’t lie down. Maybe another team could have folded, but we didn’t.

“It’s great for a club like Naomh Padraig. We’ve been in the doldrums for so long, but we’re starting to rise again.”
