BERNIE WALSH DESCRIBED HERSELF as ‘delighted and humbled’ after being named as Letterkenny AC Club Person of the Year.
The hard-working Walsh was presented with her award by Greg Allen on Friday night at the club’s annual awards function at Arena 7.
“There are loads of people who do a lot of hard work behind the scenes,” she told Donegal Sport Hub’s Charlie Collins.
“Any number of people deserve this award as much, if not more than me.
“It’s nice to be appreciated, but it’s good to give as well.
“When I retired early from the HSE, I had time to give back to the club. It’s fantastic and it keeps me involved in it. I get from it as well.”
