HUGH MCFADDEN PUT in a man of the match performance as Killybegs maintained their place in the RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta SFC at Cloughaneely’s expense.

McFadden kicked seven points as the side managed by Mark ‘Herbie’ Boyle overcame Cloughaneely at the Banks to maintain their place in Donegal’s premier competition. However, the Donegal player wants the Fintra club to learn from their difficult campaign and use it next season.

“We were lucky to get away with it,” McFadden said. “Thanks be to God we didn’t get relegated. It’s a scare that was probably well needed.”
