ROSSES COMMUNITY SCHOOL MANAGER GAVIN WARD was quick to admit that his side had played their get-out-of-jail card with yesterday’s win over St Columba’s College, Stranorlar.

The Rosses students won 0-11 to 0-10 in the Donegal Vocational Schools Senior ‘A’ Championship.

St Columba’s led 0-9 to 0-3 at half-time, but they had Odhran Doherty and Aodhfin McGlynn red carded in the final eight minutes of the first period and two late points by Barry Curran swung the pendulum.

“If they had 15 men on the pitch they’d have won the game,” Ward told Donegal Sport Hub.

“We have a lot of work to do to stay in the compeition.

“We came up here and we expected to get the win.  We didn’t show them the respect they deserve.

“We need to get our attitude right. We were looking too far ahead so we have to take it one game at a time.
