COLLIE FARRELL told of his ‘pride’ as his Letterkenny side ran Kukri Qualifying League 3 leaders Limavady close on Saturday.

Limavady might have won 24-12, but their reaction at the close of play told the story of a difficult afternoon at the Dave Gallaher Memorial Park, where Letterkenny lost Terence Gallagher to an injury after only 14 minutes.

“I couldn’t be prouder of them,” Farrell told Donegal Sport Hub after the game.

“From one to fifteen they manned up and we were competitive in every facet.

“Limavady really celebrated at the final whistle which was a credit to our lads. Limavady had been just walloping people, but we gave them a run for their money today.”
