JOHN DOHERTY CAPTAINS BUNCRANA into Sunday’s Intermediate Reserve Football Championship final against Gaeil Fhánada at O’Donnell Park (throw-in, 1.30pm).

Although they won the Donegal Minor Championship in 2013, The Scarvey men haven’t had much to cheer about in recent times, but Doherty and his men are in buoyant mood after a semi-final win over Naomhg Columba.

“We were beaten in the semi-final last year and we didn’t want to make the same mistake again,” Doherty told Donegal Sport Hub.

“We were cooler in the second half against Glen.”

They meet the holders, Gaeil Fhánada, in the decider.

Doherty said: “We know what we’re up against now. We have to lift it again.”
