LETTERKENNY ROVERS YOUTH TEAM manager Anthony Gorman was quick to praise the resilience of his side after they reached the FAI Youth Cup quarter-finals.

Tarlach O’Boyle and Zach Gorman netted in a 2-0 win over Ballinroad on Saturday at the Aura Leisure Centre to seal Rovers’ passage into the last eight for the fourth successive season.

“We dug in,” was the manager’s immediate reaction afterwards.

“There were players throwing themselves in front of the ball, just dying to stop a shot, a cross or a through pass.

“I’m very pleased with how it finished.”
