ARDARA ADVANCED TO MEET Glenswilly in the RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta Senior Reserve Football Championship final.

Ardara 2-13 Gaoth Dobhair 0-10

Experienced heads were key for the Kentucky men as they had nine points to spare on a Gaoth Dobhair team that included two-time All-Star winner Kevin Cassidy.

While Cassidy hit three points for the Magheragallon outfit, Stephen Gildea was the master of the evening in Ballybofey with ten points.

Gaoth Dobhair began brightly, but Ardara turned the tide in the closing stages of the first half when Peter McHugh hammered home a goal for a 1-6 to 0-8 half-time lead.

Ardara pulled away late in the game.

Three points from Gildea and another by Lorcan O’Donnell were followed by the second goal, finished well by Jack Brennan.
