MILFORD’S AMBER BARRETT was the hero for Peamount United with two late goals to seal a comeback win over Galway WFC in the Continental Tyres FAI Women’s Senior Cup semi-finals.
Lynsey McKey had put the Connacht side in front before Barret struck twice to seal a 2-1 win. Greencastle’s Roma McLaughlin was also part of the Peamount team.
Barrett (pictured above) helped Donegal to both the U-21B All-Ireland and the Ulster SFC this summer.
Meanwhile, Letterkenny native Ciara Grant and her UCD Waves team went down 4-2 at Jackson Park.
Two goals from Kylie Murphy, added to goals from Ruth Fahy and Carol Breen, ensured Youths sealed a last four berth. Aine O’Gorman scored twice for Waves.
