GERALDINE McLaughlin has been nominated for a 2019 TG4 All-Star, it has been confirmed.

The Termon woman is the sole inclusion from Donegal on the 45-player list.

There are 13 nominees from All-Ireland champions Dublin, nine each for Galway and Mayo with Cork receiving seven.

McLaughlin was instrumental for Donegal in their winning of the Ulster Championship this summer.

McLaughlin hit 2-4 in Donegal’s Ulster final win over Armagh.

In the semi-final, McLaughlin gave an inspiration display that yielded 14 points as Donegal overcame Cavan in extra-time.

Remarkably, McLaughlin has never won an All-Star award before.

The 2019 TG4 All Star team will be announced at a gala banquet at the Citywest Hotel on Saturday, November 16, along with the Junior, Intermediate and Senior Players’ Player of the Year award winners, the Provincial Young Players of the Year and the 2019 inductee into the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) Hall of Fame.
