Michael Murphy showed again that he’s just a diehard GAA man.
Murphy might well be Donegal’s top scorer of all time and a legend even beyond Donegal’s borders – but that doesn’t stop him rolling his sleeves up at club level.
Murphy, ever the even donned the whistle yesterday to referee at Under-9 and Under-10 level yesterday for the Laurence McGinty Cup, hosted by the Glenswilly club at Pairc Naomh Columba.
The presence of Murphy as the ref’ heightened the excitement for the youngsters during a successful tournament, eventually won by Glenswilly.
