LETTERKENNY GOLF CLUB are teeing-up to offer the most exciting week of golf as their annual Open Week swings into action.

This festival of golf on Donegal’s most scenic parkland course, tees-off on tomorrow, Friday 10th June and continues through to Sunday 19th June.

For those who haven’t had a chance to play Barnhill recently, Open Week offers the perfect excuse to try it out.
There are competitions on every day and the visitor rate is a recession breaker at €15 euro. Golfer of the Week prizes are designed to cater for avid golfers and hopefully the weather will continue to add to the spectacular flowers in full bloom.

The opening week-end will comprise of an Open Stableford sponsored by Specsavers, Letterkenny, on the Friday, a 4-Ball Betterball Open on the Saturday sponsored by Derryveagh Crystal and an Open Stroke on Sunday sponsored by CoLab Lyit Business Centre.

The ten day long Open Week is always eagerly anticipated at Barnhill and given the wide selection of open competitions there is one thing for sure–the course will be a very busy place right through the week. “We are looking forward to another very busy ten days of golf.

We have a great selection of competitions planned and once again, credit must go to everyone who has worked so hard to put Open Week in place” said club Captain Ivan Fuery.

“The competition entry fee for visitors is once again only €15 and we know that there will be a warm welcome for all visitors to the club.” Again, those playing the course during this time are sure to be impressed with the condition of the manicured course and with the greens in superb condition, scoring is expected to be competitive. With various improvements to several holes adding to the experience, members and visitors alike are in for the most enjoyable time.
