A busy week of inter-club activity at Letterkenny Golf Club

LETTERKENNY Golf Club was very busy with four inter-club matches played on Sunday 1st August. 

The Ladies played in the Junior Cup Letterkenny V Larne,  Letterkenny played two games at home and three away.  The opposition had the advantage of three games at home and consequently they secured a win of 3/2.

Hugh McClafferty was in charge of the Donegal over 50’s team on Sunday who played against North West Golf Club. Having three games at home and two away. It was a very close fought match however Letterkenny won two matches at home and one away to secure a victory.

Angela Bradley was Captain of the Letterkenny team who played Cairndhiu in the mixed foursomes playing two at home and three away.  Two matches were secured at home while a third match was won away which secured another victory for Letterkenny.

Barry Kavanagh was Captain of the Junior Scratch Match  team playing against Buncrana Golf Club.  Letterkenny had four matches at home and three away and won with 5 wins and two halfs.

Three wins out of four matches was an overall good result for Letterkenny.
