WITH THE new League of Ireland season now only a matter of weeks away, Finn Harps supporters are gearing up for a return to the Premier Division.

Harps’ first game back in the top flight will be a mouth-watering North-West derby against Derry City on Friday, March 4 at Finn Park.

Harps fans have waited since 2008, when they were relegated back to the First Division, to taste the big time – and the blue and white army want to mark it in style.

The unofficial 54 Crew Supporters Club have this week officially launched a new website – www54crew.com – with a range of merchandise and membership options available.

Starting at €10, supporters can avail of subsidised travel in 2016 while a pre-season special is open for €30 that includes a membership back and a t-shirt from the 54 Crew range.

“Our goal is provide the best atmosphere we can and support the team both home and away,” the group says.

“We aim to get all of fans to congregate together to clap, sing, beat our drums and positively affect the atmosphere.”

Meanwhile, the Finn Harps Dublin Branch Supporters Club is undergoing a reformation and will hold its first meeting of 2016 on Monday-week, January 25. The meeting takes place at the Button & Coin Bar, Ellis Street, Dublin 7, at 8.30pm.

At its zenith, the Dublin FHFCSC was a huge outlet for Harps supporters in the capital and provided several big fundraisers to the club’s coffers.
