NAOMH COLMCILLE CLAIMED the points at Dooey against Na Rossa in Division 4 last evening.

Na Rossa 0-8 Naomh Colmcille 1-11

There was a bit of contention as the half-time scoreboard read 0-8 to 0-5 for the visitors but as the teams retook to the field it had been switched to a one-point 0-7 to 0-6 advantage for Naomh Colmcille.

Jimmy White, the Killybegs official, wasn’t overly happy with a couple of calls with no neutral umpires, so 0-7 to 0-6 it was.

Odhran Molloy would score eight points in all for Na Rossa, which was their sum total for the evening.

At the other end, Naomh Colmcille had more strings to their bow, with Daniel Clarke, Michael Lynch and Willie Gillespie helping them into the lead at the break – one point lead as it turned out.

Naomh Colmcille drove home their advantage in the second half. John Fullerton grabbed a late goal after Patrick Hanlon in the hosts’ goal was unlucky to concede following a decent save.
