THE MAGEE DYNASTY will all be back in action in the Irish team for the European Mixed Team Championship group 3 qualifiers next month.

The qualifiers will be held in Dublin from November 11-13 next at the Baldoyle Badminton Centre.

Three-time Olympian Chloe Magee will be back in action for the first time competitively since the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

She’ll be joined by her brothers Sam and Joshua and their niece Rachael Darragh, one of the rising stars in Irish badminton, while Daniel Magee, another of the Raphoe siblings, is one of the Irish coaches.

Chloe Magee had a nightmare draw in Rio and lost out to China’s Wang Yihan and Germany’s Karin Schnaase in the Riocentro.

However, the 27-year-old is set to resume competitive action at these qualifiers, which sees Ireland featured in group 3 alongside Austria, Norway and Hungary.

For Darragh, it will be another chance to pit her wits against some top players. In September, she won three titles – women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles – at the Yonex Leinster Autumn Open.
