FINN HARPS MANAGER Ollie Horgan praised the ‘pride and determination’ of his side following tonight’s outing against Wexford Youths.

Harps battled to a 0-0 draw at Ferrycarrig Park; a result that almost confirms their status in the SSE Airtricity League for 2017.

Horgan’s team are now six points ahead of Wexford, who must win at Cork City and Sligo Rovers in their final two outings of the season and hope that Bohemians can win at Finn Park next Friday.

“First half we were very good. but second half we tired and it was backs to the walls stuff,” Horgan told Donegal Sport Hub. “Wexford were excellent in the second half. in the scheme of things it’s a great result.

“We managed to patch it up and get away with it. We came here to try and win it. It’s a savage league. It’s relentless. For the first time this season we looked very tired.

“There was good pride and great determination. Please God results will go our way.  Tonight was a decent result and we’ll take it ahead of Bohs next Friday. We need the support to try and cement our place in the Premier Division. Stranger things have happened when teams are winding up at the end of the season.”
