LETTERKENNY EDUCATE TOGETHER NS was celebrating this week after ‘The Magnificent Eight’ made history.

The eight pupils made their mark on the history books at the Finn Valley cross country.

Declan Doherty, Karl Friel, Osas Braines and Tadgh Morgan (Back Row) competed in the under 13 boys race and Carl Doherty, Oluwafemi Efuwape, Patryk Pieszynski and Odhran Kelly competed in the Under 11 boys team, with both teams capturing gold.

The boys managed to win best small / medium school in both the under 13 and under 11 races.

Letterkenny Educate Together National School are now competing at county level in Soccer, GAA and Athletics.

“The sport in the school is growing each year and it’s great to see all the hard work starting to pay off,” teacher Nakita Burke told Donegal Sport Hub.

Last year, LETNS competed for the first time in the Letterkenny AC day for primary schools and also in the Primary School Sports at Finn Valley AC in Stranorlar.

Children are pictured with their medals along with Letterkenny Educate Together principal Áine Fabisiak.
