FINN HARPS are back in action tonight as they take on Galway United at Eamonn Deacy Park.

Harps will have another chance here …

Four minutes of added time here…

74 – GOAL FOR HARPS. Hanlon fires home. Maybe, just maybe ….GU 3 FH 2

73 – Funston’s shot forces Horgan into a save. That was a decent chance for Harps. GU 3 FH 1

harps are getting Dave Scully ready for action here now.

58 – WOW HARPS HAVE SCORED. First goal in 799 minutes of football as Keating tucks past Horgan from Houston’s pass. GU 3 FH 1

55 – Hanlon’s powerful effort forces Horgan into saving, but Galway are well in command here. GU 3 FH 0

52 – Double sub for Harps as Hanlon and Funston replace McNamee and Banda.

46 – Jesus. GOAL for Galway after just 38 seconds of the second half as Colm Horgan’s looping header beats Gallagher from Faherty’s cross. GU 3 FH 0

Galway have come out for the second half. Man comes into the press box and tells us: “Harps are bad.” It’s hard to argue.

HT – Galway United 2 Finn Harps 0

39 – Galway have the ball in the net a third time, but the offside flag cuts short the celebrations as Faherty’s cross is headed home by Curran. GU 2 FH 0

35 – Houston shoots over with a good chance for Harps after a Gareth Harkin free is only partially cleared. GU 2 FH 0

29 – Aganovic hooks off the line for Galway from a Keating header. GU 2 FH 0

Harps all over the place here. Supporters who have traveled aren’t happy with what they’re seeing

Be nice if they looked like they wanted to stay in this division for a while..

18 – Curran riffles over after connecting with a left-wing cross from Marc Ludden. GU 2 FH 0

15 – Keating, who started this season with Galway, shoots straight at Horgan. GU 2 FH 0

10 – GOAL. Bloody hell, Galway go two up through a cracking Enda Curran strike. GU 2 FH 0

8 – Enda Curran goes close, but Gallagher saves well from his 20-yard strike. GU 1 FH 0

6 – GOAL for Galway United. Free by Ryan Connolly is flicked goalward by Vinny Faherty. Ciaran Gallagher does well to save initially, but Faherty finishes. Disaster for Harps. GU 1 FH 0

5 – Banda has been lively so far. Takes a pass but Armin Aganovic cuts out his shot and Harps have a corner, which is headed over by Banda. GU 0 FH 0

2 – Harps force a corner, but the delivery from McNamee is well held by Kevin Horgan. GU 0 FH 0

We’re underway here.

The Finn Harps traveling support has fallen terribly of late. Barely 20 people here supporting Harps tonight. This used to be a huge fixture for Harps fans.

Ollie Horgan’s team have lost their last eight games and haven’t scored since Sean Houston’s winner against Galway back on July 8 at Finn Park. This sequence is the worst in Harps’ history.

Here’s how Finn Harps’ current run sits in the history books

Horgan, who is serving a touchline suspension tonight and watches from the stand, has rang the changes with five switches to the Harps XI from that which began against Cork City on Monday-week last.

Damien McNulty, Thomas McMonagle, Gareth Harkin and Tony McNamee are all recalled from the start and there is a first start of the season for last year’s hero, BJ Banda, who has only recently been returned to the Harps squad.

Finn Harps: Ciaran Gallagher; Damien McNulty, Keith Cowan, Thomas McMonagle; Ethan Boyle, Gareth Harkin, Tony McNamee, Ciaran Coll; BJ Banda, Ruairi Keating.

Galway, who parted company with manager Tommy Dunne during the week, have made four changes to their side. Former Harps goalkeeper Conor Winn drops to the bench with Kevin Horgan starting.

Stephen Walsh, Enda Curran and Gary Shanahan are all starting with Kilian Cantwell, Conor Melody and Alex Byrne missing out.
