DONEGAL SPORT HUB has been confirmed as a finalist in the 2016 Realex Payments Web and Content Awards, with the winners to be announced on September 28.

Last month, organisers of the awards confirmed that Donegal Sport Hub had been nominated in the Best Sports News Site category and now a list of the finalists has been released.

Ten finalists have been confirmed in the category with donegalsporthub.com included alongside balls.ie, sportsjoe.ie backpagefootball.com, benchwarmers.ie, extratime.ie, goal.com, boxingnewsandviews.com, sportsnewsireland.com and arseblog.com

“It is a brilliant reflection on the status of Donegal Sport Hub and shows just how far we have come in just over a year in existance,” said Charlie Collins who, alongside Alan Foley and Chris McNulty, founded Donegal Sport Hub in July 2015.

“The very calibre of the other sites in this category shows the level we have reached. We pride ourselves on our high standards and this has stood to us.

“We are proud to have our site listed among the finalists for these awards and to even be considered for this award is testmanent to the hard work of those people who have assisted us in any way since we launched.

“We must thank our main partners, the Radisson Blu Hotel in Letterkenny, first and foremost. Their assistance and support has been vital.

“We thank all of our sponsors and advertisers who have shown faith and support in Donegal Sport Hub.”

Since launching 13 months ago, Donegal Sport Hub has had almost 3million page views from 500,000 users in 184 countries.

The Web Awards ceremony will be in Dublin on September 28th in Liberty Hall Theatre.
