A DONEGAL athlete heads off to America tomorrow on an athletics scholarship.
Ballybofey man and Finn Valley AC athlete Oisin Gallen jets off tomorrow to begin life at the University of West Alabama.
Gallen was a member of the Finn Valley AC side that won Donegal, Ulster and Irish titles at cross country level.
He has won Ulster Track & Field medals at school and club level.
[adrotate group=”43″]He is the reigning Ulster Under 19 Cross Country champion. In 2014 Gallen was on the County Donegal cross country team that finished second in the All-Ireland Inter-County Junior Championships.
[adrotate group=”46″]In March of this year, he was a member of the Dublin City University team that won the Irish Universities Cross Country championship. Oisin was an engineering student at DCU.
